The sound of your harp was absolutely wonderful to hear and relaxed both our guests and indeed Jonathan and myself. We were so pleased that you were able to perform for the drinks reception, as well as the ceremony and felt it really created a superb and unique ambience for all our guests to enjoy.   • Choosing AMV Live Music and Hattie was one of our first and easiest decisions in our wedding planning after seeing Hattie perform at a Le Petit Chateau open day.

    On the day her rendition of Malibu by Miley Cyrus was beautiful and now every time I hear it it takes me back to walking in. She was so lovely when we spoke to her on the day and melted into the background effortlessly really complimenting the relaxed and natural feel we wanted for the wedding. All of my guests commented on how talented she was and loved her song choices!

    It was so important that everyone was able to enjoy themselves – and the dancefloor was always full, everyone danced and sang the night away!

  • 110% recommend this AMAZING band, 5 stars just isn't enough. We hired them for our wedding on 7th May 2017 & they very kindly agreed to travel to Armathwaite Hall in the Lake District & wow, what a performance they put on. The dance floor was jam packed from start to finish & our guests, even the kids, didn't want the party to end, singing 'we don't care what time it is coz we're not going home'. Everyone has told us how much fun they had & its thanks to Switch for keeping us entertained. Thanks a million, Alex & Ben Irving xx

  • My wife Hannah and I and all of our guests were lucky to be joined by Switch on Friday 14th July 2017 at The Maynard Hotel, Grindleford, Derbyshire. Our day had already been amazing yet Switch's contribution turned it into an awesome night. They played our first dance song (Ho Hey- The Lumineers which was perfect..a shame I let it down with my terrible dancing...I knew i should have practiced!)

    They were Friendly & approachable, full of charisma and had great stage presence. Sheridan is a fantastic lead singer and all other members of the group were equally fantastic playing their instrument. (Loved the Sax! ) Very professional, superb set list and especially loved the medleys.. The dance floor was bouncing throughout..people were dancing that never, ever, ever, dance so credit to Switch for that little miracle. Throughout the night (and still now) I had people asking me who the band were with numerous flattering reviews. It was clear that we and others did not want the night to end...shouts of "more" were met with other songs but sadly it had to end. If you are considering a band for any occasion we cannot recommend these guys enough. They are a 'Must!'

  • We asked Switch to be our wedding band at Capheaton Hall on 15 July 2017 and they did not disappoint! They arrived early so we could use their equipment for the wedding speeches. They then learnt a new song so they could perform it live for our first dance. They kept the dance floor packed all night with a great mix of music from a number of eras to suit all tastes. Lively, energetic, talented and highly entertaining; I'd recommend Switch to anyone as the perfect band for any occasion (the number of people who commented how good you were was fantastic).   • Hi Mick.

    I booked House of Sax for our wedding on Saturday and I'm so pleased I did! They were absolutely incredible. From the moment the music started I knew it was going to be a great night and it certainly was.

    It's the first wedding I have ever witnessed the guests dancing at 7pm!! The atmosphere was unreal and the effect of the bongos and sax made it feel as though we were all in Ibiza- our favourite place! The guys are absolutely brilliant, even allowing my new hubby to have a go on the bongos and being very patient with a very drunk best man!

    The whole place was bouncing all night and I never wanted to leave the dance floor. I especially didn't want the night to end and neither did the guests.

    I honestly couldn't recommend House of Sax enough! I would love to have another occasion where I could book them again. Maybe a first year anniversary party would be an excellent idea.

    Thanks guys. You were just the best and helped to make our day unforgettable. Not only for us but for all our guests who absolutely loved it.

    I just wanted to drop you a quick email to say a massive THANK YOU!

    We absolutely loved our DJ, Johnny the Sax player and the percussionist (who even let my little nephew have a go).

    So many of our wedding guests commented on what an amazing night they had and obviously credit for that should go to them. They played all the songs we asked for and then chose some brilliant floor fillers of their own, everyone danced all night.

    The DJ came and chatted to us to make sure we were happy, which was a really nice touch. We were so impressed at how friendly and professional they were and can't thank you all enough. WHAT A NIGHT!

    Levi was fantastic to deal with, great to talk through how we wanted the day to run before the wedding, very flexible and keen to help out including playing an awesome background set list during the wedding breakfast.

    As a band in the evening they were amazing, Levi took on board our ideas and mixed them in to the bands performance which had everyone going crazy on the dance floor through the evening.

    We have lost count of the number of people who have mentioned the drums, sax and Tesni's vocals to us. It was a fantastic party and we can't recommend them highly enough.

    Faye - thank you for all your help in choosing the music, being patient and full of ideas and enthusiasm despite all our questions!

    The music was really important to us and the fact that it was so incredible made our day even more special.

    I just wanted to send an email to say a huge thank you for organising The Mollies to play at our wedding on Saturday at As You Like It.

    Ashleigh and the band were amazing, in terms of their talent and their personalities! Ashleigh's rendition of Crystal, our song, was beautiful and just what we wanted.

    All of our guests were really impressed with their sets and each song just got better and better to the point of a room-wide call from everyone dancing for them to play more.

    The guitarist's solo really impressed our more musically talented friends and he was also very sweet about our theme as it turned out he was a Lord of the Rings fan too!

    They really made our day and I can't thank them enough, especially as Ashleigh stayed right until the end to play out last song and cheer for us.

  • I would just like to take a moment to praise Faye for adding such a beautiful, unique and sophisticated touch to our day. All of our guests were full of praise and added that it was a breath of fresh air to have someone singing while they arrived and as I walked down the aisle and we were married as well as at our drinks reception after. Faye could not have been more attentive and helpful in the lead up to our wedding and she sang each and every one of the songs we requested as well as a beautiful rendition of the song I had chosen to walk down the aisle to. She was so professional throughout the full day, sang exactly what we wanted how we wanted and more. Although I didn't get to see much of her set, when I did get a second to watch her I was just so glad we chose to have a singer at our daytime and that we chose her.     I just wanted to give a review of Livewire who played at our wedding last week at Brinkburn Priory.

    The band and Faye were amazing on the night, the songs they played were fantastic and everyone was up dancing from start to finish!

    They played our first dance, a song we had asked them to play, which made it really personal to us.

    Faye was a brilliant support throughout the process of booking the band and Andy Usher.

    She provided advice on song choices to set the mood and was always available. I would not hesitate to recommend Livewire and AMV to anyone for a wedding or party!

    I just wanted to drop you an email about our wedding and our experience with Faye Shearer.

    Last month we had the greatest day of our lives as we had the most amazing wedding. We had a bit of a challenge from the outset finding a singer as everyone we seemed to find and booked cancelled on us so we were getting a little sick.

    We came to an event at ‘As you like it’ to see Faye Shearer and straight away we thought she was amazing and we booked her instantly.

    Even the booking process was simple and professional, which we hadn’t been used too with the other people we initially approached.

    Faye was great to talk to in the run up to the wedding and exactly what we wanted. We discussed different songs and ideas, she even helped source the backing track for my dad who did a song at the wedding.

    At the wedding itself our guests were full of praise for her amazing talent, the dance floor was never empty. Faye also sang our wedding song which was breath-taking and is a memory that will stay with us forever. I can’t praise Faye enough and look forward to seeing her at other events in the future.

    Your customer service from the very beginning has been second to none and Jess and the DJ were absolutely fantastic!!!

    Jess created the perfect atmosphere throughout the ceremony, reception and meal and everyone commented on how fab she was. She was professional and just perfect.

    The DJ created a club like atmosphere on the night time and played all the songs we wanted and some of his own which went down great. One guest did try their hardest to get ‘Come on Eileen’ played but they weren’t successful ha-ha!!

    We didn't get a chance to thank our DJ, Michael Morton, properly on the night of our wedding.

  • Hi Mick,

    Just a few words to say thank you for the excellent service. The Fontains arrived on time (slightly early actually!) and were an absolute pleasure to deal with. They set up with a minimum of fuss and were ready to start the evening off as requested at 7. Some of our guests were a little late in arriving and the band did everything to accommodate a change in running times and were very flexible, polite and approachable. Everything we had requested was provided and the track choice for the DJ sets was excellent given that we had only provided guidelines as to the sort of music we preferred.

    When it came to the live music, the band were everything we had hoped for. They gave an entertaining, energetic performance and every guest we have spoken to has said what a great day they had followed by "and the band were fantastic!"

    So thank you for helping to make our day such a memorable and enjoyable one. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend AMV and The Fontains in particular to anyone seeking a band for their wedding.

  • Livewire performed at our wedding evening on Saturday 28th June 2014 at The Alnwick Gardens in Northumberland and what can I say.....AMAZING!!!!

    From the get go they had everyone on their feet dancing. All the members of the band were outstanding and lead singer Faye has the most incredible voice.

    Anyone can plan the perfect wedding or have the most amazing venue but it's all about the atmosphere and making sure everyone enjoys themselves and you can't plan that......but Livewire helped us achieve that by making the atmosphere ELECTRIC everyone left with smiles on their faces and didn't want the night to end.

  • I booked Livewire through AMV Live Music for my mum’s 60th and I am so glad I did, they absolutely made the party, they had all ages up and dancing and really got the party going.

    My mum loves Lionel Richie and they managed to play and dedicate to her a Lionel song off the cuff without rehearsing it which by far was her best part of the day.

  • Charlie and I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Livewire for playing at our wedding at Kirkley Hall on June 21st and for all of AMV's help in the run up to the day.

    Livewire were sensational! We have received so many comments from guests saying how amazing the band were, and it’s no surprise you received chants of we want more at the end of the evening Andy!

    The dance floor was full from start to finish and we loved seeing all our guests up dancing and having a great time. It made it such a special and memorable evening.

  • The Larks played at our wedding ceremony and reception on Saturday 28th June 2014 at The Alnwick Gardens in Northumberland and were fantastic.

    They kindly learnt and rehearsed my entrance song which they performed amazingly it added such a personal touch to the ceremony.

    During the wedding breakfast they played the most beautiful and understated music it created the most perfect ambience.

    Hayley has a beautiful voice and my guests could not believe she was singing live.....simply fabulous.

  • Just back from honeymoon and I just wanted to say an enormous thank you to you and Grand Central for playing at our wedding on 24th May. The band went down a storm and contributed to an absolutely amazing day. We had lots of lovely comments from guests, and I think the full and lively dancefloor was a testament to the fantastic sets by Grand Central. The band were lovely and extremely professional, and I would certainly recommend them, and AMV to anybody planning a wedding.

  • I was at the Hilton Hotel at Newcastle Airport last night for the first time with my partner and we had the privilege to hear the musician named Ken Mercer - I rang the hotel today to find out if he was a resident artist at the hotel and was informed to contact you - HE WAS AMAZING PURE TALENT- please let me know if he is at the Hilton each week - LOVED his music and his voice. Would love to see him regularly and want to return with friends please can you tell me if he is playing at the Hilton again I hope so!! Absolutely brilliant made our night!”

  • I wanted to make sure I passed on my absolute gratitude to the Fontains who played at our wedding at Langley Castle in June. They were absolutely brilliant. Everyone commented on how good they were and played just the right mix of music to get everyone up on the dance floor.

    We really appreciate them playing and thank you for suggesting them, we could not have asked for a better band. They really did just top off a perfect day and night.

    I thought I would drop you an e-mail on behalf of Kelly and I regarding Glen.

    He turned up in plenty of time and managed to get set up in the little courtyard we had adjacent to the main hall. He played a wide range of songs and people thought he was absolutely fantastic, the setting seemed to suit his style very well indeed and despite being a bit chilly I think he enjoyed it too !

    We would have no hesitation in recommending him at all, in fact we had quite a number of enquiries on the night as to how we managed to book him.

    The whole band were extremely friendly throughout the evening, a lovely group of men.

  • We used AMV to source us a quality band for our wedding at Alnwick Castle.

    They were simply amazing and finished what was a fantastic day for us both.

    AMV were superb, listening to everything we needed and bending over backwards to accommodate every request and "change of mind", even organising rehearsals for me, as I wanted to perform a song for my new wife with the band!

    I can't thank them enough and will recommend both AMV to anyone who asks me if I know where to get a good live band.
